The Jammu and Kashmir Police have announced a significant reward of Rs. 20 lakh for information leading to the arrest of four active terrorists operating in the Anantnag district, a decisive move to strengthen efforts to combat terrorism. The government's commitment to regional security and public support for the fight against terrorism is exemplified by this initiative. 

Recognizing the Threat The police have identified the following four individuals

1.Saifullah
2. Farman
3. Adil
4. Basha

 These individuals are believed to be involved in various terror-related activities in the region.  The police have made their pictures public and are asking the public for any information that might help them get away. They have stated that informants' identities will be kept strictly confidential and emphasized the significance of community participation in preserving peace and security. 

The Implications of the Reward Announcement 

This announcement of the reward comes after a number of terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. In particular, a significant encounter in the Kokernag area of the Anantnag district in September 2023 claimed the lives of five Indian security personnel, including senior officers, and eliminated Uzair Khan, the TRF militant commander.
